Fellow DUer's... we aren't out of the woods yet.
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 07:00 PM by apnu
There's a good vibe today, and that's a great thing. But be wary of becoming over confident in our cheers of a Smirking failure in the debates and think we are skating to a win in November.

The momentum we have now is due to the natural political process AND our collective hard work.

Don't slack off Democrats, and stay upbeat!!!!

(on edit: added "process" to be more clear with my point)

1. Amen, we're a LONG way away...
But it's nice to be feeling positive again.

2. I agree.
While I am on cloud nine today, I am ALWAYS on guard. Always. That may sound paranoid, but not if you know anything about rove and co.

3. We need to act as though
we're 10 points down with two debates to go against the Mozart of debaters--shrub (I can't hardly say this with a straight face, but I'm trying like hell)

5. I agree - in a town hall Bush is the favorite over Kerry - "emotional
intelligence" may be the only intelligence Bush has, but he does have it and can relate better than most - should have been a preacher!

Kerry needs to add to his new found skill of giving 2 minute answers that do not talk down, lecture, or explain in detail, a new skill - to use emotional looks - I deeply care for you - with "we will get through this" - words.

Kerry tells America that together we can get through this mess bush has created . . .

George Bush is a MASTERdeBATER

6. We Got Too Much..."Where To Start???"
We've gotten a ton of great things handed to us this week, maybe too much. It'd be nice to spend a solid two or three days just hammering on the lack of troops in Iraq, and other day or two beating up on Crashcart's obvious lies last night, another day or two on the latest rise in oil prices and so on. Instead this stuff is coming at us in torents.

A week ago, this place was sounding 180 degrees different than we do today (and a hell of a lot more fun for all of us), but we know this could swing back the other way for no good reason.

Stay the course...we're in the final mile here and we just need to keep prepared for that final kick in the last 10 days.
