3. it was actually worse than a mulligan. this was like the cheater who
tries to sneak his ball near the cup while others aren't looking. So obvious that chimp-monster was simply trying to properly read the rove-prepared tps. What a total dolt!

4. So how is it the press is not calling him out for announcing the major
speech about health care reform and "bait and switching" to standard political stump bashing?

6. Oh but it WAS about healthcare reform ...
Any and all able bodied individuals in the mid to lower tax brackets will be sent to Iraq, Afghanistan and possibly Iran and Syria.

Chances are you won't come home alive, hence you won't have any more health care problems to deal with.

Health care crisis ? Not anymore ... :(

7. With this bogus DO OVER speech today
really a campaign speech for the smirk, did his campaign pay for it or are the tax payers paying for his "major speech of importance?" Talk about a cheap trick, this administration will stop at nothing.

8. Excuse my ignorance - what is a "mulligan" speech
I'm not familiar with that term and I've been reading it all day.

Can someone help me out?

9. My hubby told me it is a golf term
for do over. I too was clueless. I once had a recipe for something called Mulligan Stew. Couldn't figure out what that had to do with anything. :hi:

10. A golf term - here's what it means
On the first tee, many golfers get very nervous, and hit a poor shot. If this happens, he is "allowed" (this is hopelessly against the rules) to hit another drive, and not count the first (poor) one. This freebie is called a "mulligan."

Really bad golfers have elevated the mulligan to an art form - it can and does show up everywhere now, not just on the first tee, and not just once.

If you like to play golf the way it was meant to be played, you'll stay away from "mulligan" golfers.

Bush, BTW, is a mulligan golfer. Quelle surprise.

11. A "Mulligan" is a do-over.
In golf, usually while hitting off of the first tee, or sometimes off another tee (the first shot on a hole) some amatuer golfers will allow their playing partners to take another shot after hitting their first shot into the water, or woods, or onto the next fairway, or three feet to the left.

Some groups will allow one "Mulligan" per 18 holes, or per nine holes. Basically, you're allowed to "not count" a bad shot and take another shot in its place.

Hence calling Bush's speech today a "Mulligan" because he gets a do-over on his debate fuck-up.
