What is FarenHYPE 911 ?

I keep seeing it advertised on TV with Michael Moore. Is it legit? Is it a repug spoof? :shrug:

1. Hype

When I went to pick up Fahrenheit 911 yesterday, I asked the guy @ Blockbuster about the FahrenHYPE 911 documentary.

He said he had heard about it, but that it wasn't making enough buzz for Blockbusters to put it on their shelves.

He said it was a weak attempt at Repugs to get something out the same day as F-911 came out.

3. I just went to the site

it is a piece of shit that claims to debunk F911. It was written by Dick Morris and two other people I have never heard of.

The preview clip features such luminaries as Dick, Ann Coulter, Zell Miller and Ed Kock talking about how much they dislike MM and how Bush was right.

Looks like a piece of crap and I hope they didn't spend too much on it because it probably won'r recoup their advertising budget.

7. Exactly what everyone else has said

about the movie. On the preview it just shows them talking. No hard facts like Moore's movie. Real pathetic attempt. And even if people do buy into it (the reps movie) there are several other movies out there as well to back them up if people don't like Moore. I've seen two other Moore movies and like him. Check out "Roger & Me" and "Bowling For Cloumbine." It'll give you a taste of how Moore is with documentary.
On the website http://www.bushsbrain.com in their link section they have other movies listed as well and a website with a list of other very crediable movies. There's so much out against the reps now.

14. I think the ad said it was distributed "exclusively" by Overstock.com

I sent Overstock a not-so-nice email and got them to take me off their list years ago -- now I can't even remember why! They were advertising on Rush Limbaugh, as I recall.

Anybody else remember?

(Before that, I'd done a lot of holiday gift shopping through them. This gives me TWO reasons to boycott them.)

17. Saw it at Best Buy yesterday

when I picked up the F 9-11 dvd. It was with it on their big display, just one little box of the whole frame though. I covered it with another couple of Moore's dvd.

That's the slogan of the upcoming movie made by Dick Morris. That's right, the same Dick Morris that is on O'Reilly as a 'Democrat'. The movie works to debunk some of the messages in Michael Moore's movie. Here's the website: http://www.fahrenhype911.com/

It's so disorganized that www.imdb.com doesn't have it listed as a movie, TV, or rental. IMDB has EVERYTHING. This will be in the $2.00 bin at Wal-Mart hidden under 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen'. I don't think it will have any impact. People who are undecided are more likely to watch the first movie as opposed to check out a movie that works against a movie they haven't even seen. I'm not worried.

6. It is NOT a MM movie

It is the "answer" to the original. No one I know has viewed that movie though.

The guy I talked to at Blockbuster said that they won't be carrying it at ANY Blockbusters in the nation..

It showed on his computer that it was available @ Overstock.com ..

18. Thanks. This whole du thing is sorta new to me. My daughter

introduced me to du and it's something we enjoy together.She is an attorney in NC, and a 1000+ posts so you can imagine how we feel about Kerry/Edwards.This is the most important election in my 61 years.
