NC Board of Elections announces record number of new registrations. |

465000 new registrations, mostly democrats, according to WRAL news. Don't count the Tar-heel state out just yet. :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast::bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast::bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast: :bounce: :toast:

1. I heard that report too on WRAL's news tonight. |
|
Just about half a million new registrations and most are Democrats!
I say NC could be taken by K/E in November!

2. Yeah, I'm seeing K/E bumperstickers and lawn signs about 4:1 over B/C |
|
here in the Raleigh area. Of course, that doesn't really prove anything, but it makes me feel better.

I think some things are going on that don't show up in the poles.Wouldn't a 50 state landslide be the best thing that ever happened? Too much to hope for, but I'm hoping anyway.

I have been working my tail off to get never before voters to register and was able to get 4 new democrat voters (18-26). I have been hearing rumors that the number of new registrations was going to be a record but I had no idea it would be this much. WOW!!!
NEVER count us out...there IS hope!

. on a county-by-county basis this is being organized.
Also, many people have personally taken responsibility for calling and reminding their own registrants to vote on Election Day and making sure they understand where their polling place is.

most of the new regs are Dems. Where are we getting that information?
They probably are, I'd just like to know we aren't just jumping to conclusions....

12. In_Transit and I both heard the same news story on WRAL |
|
about most being Democrats that are newly registered.
The link doesn't say that but the report on the 11pm news clearly said that.

I live in NC. And the word is they got almost every student going to North Carolina A&T to register. Which traditional black college. But they still need to go vote. Not just register

21. traditionally, all new registrants vote. |
|
as I understand it. Its the already registered that tend to bypass the polls. But if people go to the trouble to register for the first time, they usually vote.
