1. Jeebus! Kerry pulled outta there a month ago
And only trails by 2 (statistically insignificant) Now, let's factor in the undecideds at a LOOOOW 60% and also account for the MANY newly registered Dems who have never been polled. MO could possibly get picked up by us.

3. Hang In There...Help May Be On The Way
Just because Kerry's not on the air there now, doesn't mean that will be the case next week.

Remember, Kerry is limited on how much money his campaign can spend on TV advertising, and it gets exponentially more expensive the larger the market you buy and the closer it gets to election day. The removal of the Fairness Doctrine allowed broadcasters to charge whatever they want for their airtime, and generally this favors the deeper pocketed Repugnicans.

Hopefully several 527 groups are still on the air locally, and if the race tightens further, I'm sure Kerry will be back on the air in that state in the final 10 days.

Also, remember, a lot of where a candidate buys depends on where the TV stations are. In Missouri, the largest markets, St. Louis & Kansas City shoot half of their signals into other states (Kansas, Illinois) that are out of play, where a Minneapolis TV station will cover two swing states, or a Cincinatti or Wheeling WVa.

I'd prefer to bank as much of this money as we can, since I've seen too many campaigns go broke down that final stretch and not have the bucks to refute a last minute charge (and don't put it past these goons to be relentless and lie up to the last second) not be able to buy the airtime.

Cheers!

6. Depends On The Tracking Polls...
If the DNC and Kerry folks see numbers to be had or surging in the Central or Southwest, then I could see some serious TV buys in Columbia/Rolla, Springfield and Joplin. And, yes, I still think Arkansas could be in play...but that's more toward Fayetteville, Little Rock & Memphis.

I know there are pockets of Dems in the hinterlands of Missouri...especially Jeff City & Columbia...here's hoping there's lot of new voters ready to send Asskroft packing for a second time in four years.

Cheers!

8. My guess is Kerry will resume in Missouri follwing Friday's debate
Remember, this debate is in Missouri, Washington University in St. Louis. Wouldn't seem right to abandon a traditional swing state, and one that hosts a key debate.

It's not impossible an audience member will ask Kerry what's up, has he given up on Missouri?

10. Rasmussen and ARG each have Bush ahead by 6 in Missouri
I don't know about Zogby. The ARG number is 50-44, but an old sample polled September 16-19. DUer Louis C posted Wednesday a 51-45 Bush lead in Missouri, according to Rasmussen. I assume that's a new poll, but don't have any specifics.

14. Operation: Enlist Pro-Bush Republicans
Since the Republicans believe so strongly that the War in Iraq is one with the War on Terror and that Saddam Hussein presented a Clear and Present Danger to our country, it only follows that they should be given an opportunity to defend Freedom by fighting on the front lines of Iraq (aka the War on Terror according to Republicans.

My suggestion is that if you know anybody who intends to vote for the Cheney/Bush administration (I say Cheney/Bush administration because it is obvious that Cheney is calling that shots in this administration - except for the all important Gay Marriage Constitutional Amendment which looks like George W thought up all himself with the help of his pastor), find out their name, address, and as much contact information as possible and enlist them.
The army and marines will accept anyone between the ages of 17 and 34 and is gender inspecific.

Also, if the person is an avid Bush supporter but is perhaps too old but has kids, enlist their kids - get a recruiter to go their homes to ask about their desire to defend their country.

I believe all people who support the War in Iraq and Bush should be given an opportunity to defend their country. Bush said he served honourably and if he had been called up he would have gone to Vietnam; here's a chance for his kids and other pro-Bush parent's kids to fight for their country.

Operation "Enlist Republicans" should be done agressively over the next weeks so that people who vote for Bush realize that War is not something that is fought by other people for their benefit. If they think the War in Iraq is about defending this country, which it obviously wasn't given all the reports, then they should volunteer to fight in it unless they are cowards. If all people who vote for Bush enlist to go to Iraq, then those people who support Kerry and don't believe the Iraq war was entered into honestly won't have to ... here are the links:

Marines: http://www.marines.com/request/contact_recruiter_request.asp

P.S. Be sure to find the names and details of your pro-Bush Republican congressmen and women and senators as well - their children should not be exempt. It's called practicing what you preach and they should learn to do it.
