What happened to "Marriage Protection Week"?
Last year at this time, Our Fearless Leader proclaimed the Week of October the 3rd to be Marriage Protection Week:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/10/20031003-12.html

I cynically predicted that there would be another this year, just in time for the elections.

Of course, about this time last year I was convinced that the Republican Party was quietly infusing the Howard Dean campaign with cash--fattening the calf so that it could be sacrificed on the gay marriage altar.

But really, why is the President failing to protect marriage as he so bravely did last October? Or is it next week?

3. I think they couldn't find a place to celebrate the event ...
... because of all the gay-union receptions being held that weekend.

Take that, you bigoted Bushies!
