Summary of Bush/Kerry debate. Must Read. |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 12:31 AM by coloradodem2004
I copy pasted Bush's and Kerry's parts of the debate from a transcript found online. I put it in Microsoft Word and did Auto Summarize. Here are the key points of what each of them said.
First Bush:
Free nations will answer the hopes and aspirations of their people. It's hard work. The world is safer without Saddam Hussein There's a lot of good people working hard. It's hard work. A free Iraq will help secure Israel. It is hard work. The American people decide. It's hard work. I was hopeful diplomacy would work in Iraq.
Now Kerry:
The president just talked about Iraq as a center of the war on terror. The president says that I'm denigrating these troops. The president's not getting the job done. The president did nothing. The president reversed it publicly while the president of South Korea was here. That happened on this president's watch. Nuclear proliferation. Nuclear proliferation. The president actually cut the money for it. Thank you, Mr. President.
What do you think?

* - hopeful - uplifting scenarios are hard.
Kerry - negative - nukes are bad and are gonna git us.
edit: this election is about fear, isn't it?
