Are any Gore voters voting for Bush? |
|
I've heard of plenty of people who voted Bush in 2000 saying they'll vote for Kerry this time. Fool me once, or something like that. But is anyone who voted for Gore going the other way this time?
It's hard to see how we could lose if there is so much more anti-Bush sentiment than last time, and last time was a tie.

2. I've wondered that myself. But, accorfding to the polls there must be |
|
some.
I just can't imagine anyone who voted Gore will vote for this moron. Read the Repugs targeted raising their percentage of votes among Jews. They lost something like 69-31 last time and were trying to make it 40-60. Article I saw said now it was like 65-35, so that would indicate a gain.
I think there are always some people who will vote for the "president" regardless......

3. There will be some and we'd be foolish to think otherwise... |
|
There are some high profile celebrity ones such as Ed Koch and actor Ron Silver. I'm sure there will be others as well. Not nearly enough to offset the Bush 2K voters who will vote Dem or abstain this time around, but still enough to keep the election close.
Never underestimate what fear can and will do to normally rational, thoughtful people.

4. I've heard that here in Tennesse, there were some Republicans |
|
who voted for Gore because he was a Tennesseean and they will revert to type in this election.
Can't say that I've met any of them, though, and I live in East Tennessee - the Republican bastion of the state.
I have, however, met Republicans who say they're voting for Kerry.

Mostly women who say they are scared of terror and think Bush, however bad he is in other areas, will at least protect them from another attack.
Mind you, I haven't personally heard of any such animal, but I've read statements by a few of them in the media. I think it's likely that there are a few.
There's also old crackhead political whores like Ed Koch and Zell Miller and the like who need to have their adult diapers changed and the spittle wiped from their chins. They're about as influential with the American public as I am.
It's the so-called "security moms," if any such really exist, who might think blue but vote red this year.

6. People in Podunk who are afraid some crazed Arab is going |
|
to blow up the local Quickie Mart and who have been watching Pox News for the past 4 years may switch from Gore to Bush, but I can't see how there would be significant numbers of them.
Bushco have concentrated on terra alerts often enough to scare the boobs half to death so they'll look to their daddy in Washington to protect them. Producing Osama bin Laden as an October surprise might actually work against them, as the terrified people would think the nightmare is finally over and they could concentrate on domestic issues and that means voting for Kerry.
There has been a huge increase in voter registration, though, and this generally doesn't happen unless people are dissatisfied and angry, and this is not good for Bush. The story is not Bush voters switching to Kerry or Gore voters switching to Bush, since there are some of each. The story is the number of people who are angry enough at Bushco to get out and register.

7. Yes, idiots who claim "9/11 changed them." |
|
I understand that people don't feel safe and that they want the terrorists killed. I get that. But stop biting your nails and READ A FUCKING NEWSPAPER and realize that Bush has made us LESS safe! These 9/11 changed me people drive me crazy.

at least 5 or 6. Personal friends. Not counting Democrats such as Ed Koch, who have come out and said that they were going to vote for *. I think we're kidding ourselves if we believe that most Americans feel about * as we do. Although they may vote against him in the end. I have hope, but am not terribly optimistic about this election.
