Edwards coming up on The View in a bit with his wife...
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 10:11 AM by tjdee
They're still in hot topics, but Joy was talking about how cute Edwards was and how she was trying to take a picture with him when they told her "And this is MRS. Edwards!"

Also, learned an interesting tidbit from Ms. Walters that Hillary Clinton was the first First Lady to wear pants publicly... in 1996!

Jiminy! That's ridiculous.

2. I turned in too early, they're having TWO segments of hot topics...
This is the second...

I haven't watched the show for a LONG time. That's the chick from Style's The Look For Less! Star Jones is looking great though. That's what marriage and love will do to one, I imagine.

4. The thing is, they try to get a gal in her 20's, and they always pick ditz
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 10:18 AM by tjdee
I'm in my late 20s. And two of the three permanents they've had for the position were ditzy or completely not with it, and the third (Lisa Ling) was...eh.... but it's morning tv so...

I think they should give up on trying to get a 20s woman-I don't know who does their casting, but they have a view of a 20s lady that isn't accurate. As do most television people, they put style above substance. Their young ladies have been cutesy and.... cutesy, and I guess that's what they want.

I thought you wer talking about Elizabeth Edwards. I vote her the favorite First Lady I want to have coffee with, even if I'd have to wait eight years. You are correct, Hasselback is a shallow airhead with a collection of talking point clue cards.

He's saying they didn't spend enough time on domestic issues...Barbara interrupted and said what do YOU PERSONALLY wish you could have said, and he said he wasn't sure if he should say yeah, you DID meet me, or whether go on to answer the next question.

That happened a few times at the debate, Cheney waited until Edwards had no rebuttal to get the jabs in.

Elizabeth just got applause for going up to Cheney AFTERWARDS and saying yeah, you met him.

12. Asking him whether Cheney lied about his not being in the Senate.
He's kicking it out of the park on it, talking about how of course he's been there, and how they have been fighting for different things.

Walters keeps interrupting him because she wants him to stick to cutesy and not politics.

23. I would to like to know more about Edwards on a personal level
we hear so much politics, we just heard the debate. I'm sure she's just trying to get some personal details which help move the electorate. Remember, "boxer or briefs" stupid questions, but Clinton answering it with humor made him seem likeable and cool. All things people look for in a president, for better or worse.

30. The Edwards' looked so relaxed and made it
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 10:42 AM by zidzi
look easy to go on and sit in the middle of a bunch of chattering ladies.

Edwards said they wouldn't reinstate the draft from Joy's question..about someone who e-mailed .. worried about it.

It was said that single women were the most under represented in the last election and John said what they planned to do and Star shook his hand and said she would hold him to it and Edwards said he knew she would.

John and Elizabeth have Real Family values!:D He kissed her on the forehead after their first date!

They showed that clip of Edwards saying.."I don't know if we can take four more years of this kind of experience."

Joy said .."maybe cheney should pray to get his memory back!"

This is all jumbled around..sorry!

She had a Cheshire cat smile plastered on her little freeper face.

She did ask them about how being V-P would affect their young children. E. Edwards just shot it back to her by saying that she will understand what it's like having children in the public eye when she has HER baby.

46. Starr is a former attorney who surely considers it a misuse of
the Edwards' time and intelligence to gossip when they could be talking about issues.

I wish the Edwardses would raise this question sometime: "Do you think that the only life experience that matters is government work?"

Or, to a Repug like the one on this show: "Didn't * campaign in 2000 on his business experience? Well, I built a business myself over 20 years and I think I learned a lot in the process that would be helpful to any presidential team."

two things stuck with her, one that Elizabeth doesn't like cologne and two what Edwards said about judgement.

But she loved them both. My mom (77) is real and like most americans that watch those shows all the time not just when someone like Edwards is on.

She actually said she was dissapointed about the cologne thing, I laughed and laughed at that.
