Hannity has 2 tricks that he does with his guests that make him the straight shootin' tough-guy reporter that he is. The first of which is a classic: The Loaded Question. The question of which you could not possibly answer without sounding like an idiot.
Hannity: Knowing now about the mass graves unearthed near Kabul, or the evidence of torture chambers, rape rooms and spider holes that have been shut down forever in Iraq, knowing that there were weapons programs that we stopped from ever even happening, knowing that the world is now acknowledged as being safer without Saddam Hussein in power, are you saying that we should not have gone into Iraq?
Nice one! His other little trick is to give you a quote that sounds like your enemy (Bush) but is really your friend (Kerry). The quote however is taken out of context and then further distorted, or 'hannitized' as the host might say, until it isn't even close to what your friend stands for. For example;
Hannity: Who said this quote, all right. I am going to read you a statement and I want you to tell me who said it.
Guest: All right, Go ahead.
Hannity: O.k. here it goes: "I think that Saddam Hussein is an immanent threat, I have committed war crimes in free fire zones, I believe that Saddam Hussein is capable of creating nuclear weapons, I have personally chopped the heads off of innocent women and children in the Viet Cong."
Guest: Sean, I really don't think that taking a bunch of quotes out of...
Hannity: The answer is, your hero, John Kerry. You sir, are on the wrong side of history.
Genius. Doesn't even make sense. But hey, it doesn't have to, it's FOX news
dig it!~
