What Kerry can expect from Bush ?
Just like in his speech yesterday, Bush will be on the offensive. He will attack Kerry as a "flip-flopper" and as not ready to defend this country from the terrorists. He will call him a Massachusetts big-spending "liberal". He has no intentions of pulling any punches. What should Kerry do to counter this strategy?

In my opinion, he should open his comments with a request for civility and less negativity. He should say that it's time to talk about the issues. And he should ask Mr Bush indirectly or directly to agree with him to discuss the issues that are important to the people in the audience and the people watching in America. If Bush's plan is to attack, this would preemptively disarm him to a large degree.

Then, if Bush goes off on a personal attack, Kerry could look at him and say, "There you go again". And just let it linger in the air...as visions of Ronald Reagan dance in the head of the viewers at home... And watch the expression on George W Bush's face.

8. Guess you missed the first debate
You know, the one where Kerry cleaned your boy's clock and regained the momemtum in the race? What kind of an incumbent tanks in a high-pressure debate? An incompetent one.

4. Aggression, making it about Kerrys record, insulting politely,
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 12:05 PM by Ksec
trying to make people laugh at Kerry..(thats a very effective tactic because it makes your opponent look like a fool)

Im sure Kerry is well prepared to deal with these. I have complete confidence in Kerrys ability to take it to McCokespoon and make it about his failing record

6. Bush will attack you have seen all he has. Kerry will act like an adult.
All Kerry has to do is remain calm and point out how detached the idiot bush is.

9. I'm not worried about what Bush will do
I'm sure he'll just repeat the same tired old soundbites. I'm more worried about the dirty tricks Karl Rove might have up his sleeve.
