Can anyone help? Need voting record.
I'm trying to explain to my parents that Kerry voted more for defense than against it - but I'm having trouble finding a comprehensive comparison.
I saw a post here the other day about it and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

It disgusts me that I have to spend more time disproving lies because the truth is so much harder to find.

HELP!

4. Thank You....
I've been there - looks like I'll have to spend a couple hours piecing his record together.

I remember a post where someone had the number of times Kerry voted for defense appropriations vs. against.
Perhaps it was something Edwards said too.

I may fall back to Project Vote Smart.
I was hoping for some straight numbers, but I guess I'll have to put them together myself.

Thank You again.

2. The archive...
goes back to 1988. Kerry was elected to the Senate in 1984.

or

but good luck getting into factcheck.org

quote from factcheck.ORG(!):But Kerry's votes against specific military hardware were mostly against strategic nuclear weapons including the B-2 bomber, Trident missile and anti-missile items, not against conventional equipment such as tanks. And Kerry has a point when he says “I've voted for some of the largest defense and intelligence budgets in our history,” which is correct. He's voted for military spending bills regularly since 1997.

5. Thank You very much...
I noticed Factcheck's traffic is up a bit lately.

Wonder if Cheney's plug had anything to do with it?
