12. I know this is hardly scientific...but around where I live and also in
Brighton, of all places, the Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers outnumber the Chimpy/Cheney ones about ten to one. There are Salazar signs everywhere. (There are Coors signs too--just not as many.)

Ya think people have finally had it?

2. Colorado is turning out to be an excellent opportunity
I'm glad Kerry is prepping there. His four days prepping last week in Wisconsin generated alot of local media attention and I'm sure it helps. I'm crossing my fingers on the Wisconsin numbers.

9. It's a gorgeous day here too.
Warm, in the sixties, and the mountaintops have gotten some pure, white snow in the last week or two. Beautiful fall colors. I hope Kerry has had a chance to get out, if only for a little while.

The sun is shining on him in Colorado today!

19. Kerry spoke outdoors today
mountains in the background, very lovely backdrop for his smackdown of Bush.

7. That is great news!! My 45 year-old sister and her husband have..
registered to vote for the first time and my two sons will be eligible to vote for the first time. All are registered Dems!!

Also, my husband's right-wing neice and her husband will not be voting because they don't like Bush!!

Go Colorado. I wished I still lived there instead of Texas.

and other swing states.....I've done it, it's fun and it might help kick this monster out of the White House...please go to Kerry campaign home page and volunteer to make phone calls to swing states...time is running out

13. With as many independents as Colorado has, there was bound
to be a shift. Republican governor, legislature, two Republican U.S. Senators--and no work to be found for many, many people.

Throw Iraq on top of that and this poll result probably understates the obvious.

15. Holy cow - in this scenario we don't even have to win CO if proportional
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 04:24 PM by yellowcanine
distribution of EVs passes. Wouldn't that be something? Kerry would win 273-265. And the SCOTUS would decide if Kerry wins or if it goes into the House. Crap!

OTOH - if Kerry wins CO, he wins regardless, because then Bush can get no higher than 264 and Kerry has at least 274. We need Colorado!

2 for statewide and 1 for each of its 2 districts.

16. CO could be make or break
I've heard that EV's could be split. I don't know much more than that.

I hope we win by enough where a half dozen or so electoral votes won't be the difference.

20. Coors was a tactical mistake for Repukes
because there are a small percentage of WingNuts(a fringe of the fringe you might say) who will not vote for him because of his ties to alcohol industry.
