Manipulation!:Kerry's final theme/push against the Bush barrage of spin ?
Edited on Thu Oct-07-04 04:13 PM by Gloria
Of all the things we worry about, it is the appearance of Osama at any moment. But if that doesn't seem probable, there are so MANY other things that Bushco will be spinning...witness Bush's little foray into the Rose Garden today to twist the latest report on WMD's.

As the spinning gets more and more convoluted, shouldn't Kerry boil the whole mess...and that means the whole damned 4 years--down into something that really hits Americans in their gut? They're semi-awake now--so the last few weeks of this campaign must really deliver the coup de gras against Bushco.

I think that means really reaching to the emotional core of Americans. Bush has used fear, relentlessly. But there is another emotion that really is a killer.....that is the feeling that one has been made into a FOOL!

So, in summarizing the last 3 weeks of the campaign and at the same time, the last 4 lousy years...Kerry should hit Bushco, but also hit Americans in the gut. Bush as done nothing but MANIPULATE the public through blatant LIES and that make hims UNWORTHY of being President! (way beyond ordinary political dissembling!)

"THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HAD!!!" Under that umbrella theme, the whole kitchen sink can be thrown at Bush...not only foreign policy, but everything at home, too----the environment, education, healthcare....
all empty rhetoric, show only, but no funding at the least, and downright doing the opposite on carrying out promises (Clear Skies my ass!!) they throw out like bones via their hollow message machine.

YOU'VE BEEN HAD! Ouch. That hurts. If I were just waking up now, I'd feel like Bush had made me a fool and I'd be angry as hell....

3. yes, that's the gut punch: YOU'VE BEEN HAD ... Kerry has started
hitting on something like it, but he HAS TO PUNCH IT UP more (even if he gets help from surrogates) ... he didn't waste any time today calling a news conference for a "scathing reaction" (see NYT link) and a rapid-response to the smirk/snidely meme about the Duefer report.

~snip~
The assertions, made by President Bush himself as he departed the capital for a campaign trip to Wisconsin, and by Vice President Dick Cheney as he campaigned in Florida, signaled that Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney would stand by the decision on Iraq right up to Election Day.

Such steadfastness, the Democratic presidential nominee, Senator John Kerry, said, effectively rendered Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney "the last two people on the planet" who believed that the original rationale for war was right.

~snip~
But Senator Kerry said Mr. Bush's and Mr. Cheney's comments today indicated that they stubbornly refuse to take responsibility for a failed policy.

"It's always someone else's fault," Mr. Kerry said while campaigning in Colorado. He said that Mr. Bush was "still not being straight with the American people" and that Mr. Bush had proven, once again, why he did not deserve another term.

WE'VE BEEN HAD ON ALL COUNTS ...
WE'RE MAD AS HELL... AND,
WE WILL HAVE A VOTER REVOLT ON NOV. 2nd.

We need the K/E campaign to sound off this precise alarm, over and over and over and over and over and over ...

5. I Vehemently Disagree. People Do NOT Want To Be Confronted
with having been duped.

Calling B/C out of touch with reality, in denial, lost in a fantasyworld of spin.... is much better. It has the ring of truth.
