3. 54K would be horrible for Bush
Maybe he knows something. If so, he probably undershot it a little so maybe like 65K assuming he knows anything. Either number would tank the market.

4. are you asking about job approval or job creation??
Lou Dobbs had a report about the 4000 Bank of America job cuts today and the 7000 AT &T job cuts. CEO's expect a very sluggish year next year.

10. The consensus among Wall Street economists is for 145,000, but the
"whisper number" reportedly is higher. There also will be a release of the revisions to the jobs numbers from April 2003 to March 2004. The White House has said that these revisions will show an increase of 288,000 jobs to the numbers previously reported for those 12 months. Any large deviation from either the consensus for September or the expected revisions probably will have a pretty big impact in the stock market as well as the bond market.

11. The revisions don't count toward last months number though, right?
That number is reprorted independently?

12. Correct. It is a total for the 12 months from April 2003 to March 2004.
But Bush and Cheney will start including them in their statements about how many jobs have been created in the last year. They have been saying 1.6 million jobs were created in the last year.

14. I thought I heard the 150,000 figure mentioned for September jobs
and that the past jobs figures would be revised upwards. I believe that the economy needs a minimum of 150,000 new mobs created each month in order just to keep up with population growth, according to most economists.

15. Watching a Kerry advisor earlier I think she said
Bushco* needs to create 1,600,000 new jobs or he will have a net loss in his term. Anyone else hear that number?

P.S. When Kerry wins there may be 150,000 new mobs rioting in the streets. LOL

Couldn't resist. I make typo's all the time. That is the least of our worries. Defeat B/C
