NSC staffer reveals Iraq strategy, IRAQ war and reelection hopes

by TrueTalesfromtheWhiteHouseCrypt Today, 06:18 PM

I retired two months ago from the NSC office in the basement of the White House. I had worked for the NSC for 15 years and the State Dept. for 15 years before that.

I participated in the planning and strategy meetings for the Iraq war in the summer of 2001. Yes, I said 2001... I was present at many meetings with Dick Cheney in the fall of 2001. The vice-President was emphatic that an attack on Iraq would bolster Bush's chance for reelection. He was clear about this justification and that word of it should never get out of the room in which we met.

In addition, I also participated in planning meetings with Defense and CIA planners during the winter of 2001. The purpose of these meetings was to arrange for the deposit of chemical and nuclear weapons in a remote area of Iraq.

The weapons were designed and built to resemble Iraq-made and Soviet-made weapons of the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's.

I do not know whether these imposter weapons were ever delivered to the Iraq or not.

1. One source = rumor. Two sources = news.

2. Many of us felt that the Iraq invasion was about getting Bush reelected
we were called conspiracy theorists by some, but I still believe that was the case.

3. This was another post the person just made there
Today, 06:33 PM

I'm signing out after this. As a former NSC employee I am forbidden from speaking about my work. I will sign out now. What I said is true and not far from published reports of 15 months ago by international press reporters.

4. I remember seeing here on the DU that the US was planning to plant
some WMDs inside Iraq. That's why they were so insistent that the WMDs existed inside Iraq.

Hmmmm... maybe the US was double-crossed by the "planters" and now those WMDs are God-knows-where?

6. Michael Moore used to talk about hidden WMDs
He often said he was surprised that they weren't "found". Maybe their plans for hiding WMDs were sort of outed by such remarks and they were never planted. Reminds me of how so many people talk about an October Surprise. Hard to have a surprise when everyone is waiting for it. Likewise with waiting for hidden weapons to be located.

7. I heard that a returning soldier talked to employees of a company
whose job was to maintain the wmds until they were to be revealed. They were hanging around Kuwait or Qatar or both.

I guess there is still time.

10. Beware, you might just get us "Dan Rather-ed" on this!
There is nothing here but a rumor. Who is this person? If he/she won't come forward, it's pretty useless.

Plus, we've already got O'Neill and Clark on record saying Bush* was out to attack Iraq before 9/11.
