2. You could easily say a vote for Dean is a vote for the national GOP
establishment, too. His policies are all Bush-Lite status-quo. Sharpton at least has leftist policies.

There's a sort of expectation among the sleazier Democrats that Black and Brown people, and people on the left generally, owe our votes to the Democratic Party, no matter what they're offering. That the Party somehow owns our votes; that our votes aren't ours to dispose as we see fit.

It's very arrogant.
