2. Truly ironic
The most likely reason he was added to the ticket was to help Gore run away from the Clinton-Gore legacy. Gore surely shot himself in the foot with that strategy.

where did that get him. He lost the whole rest of the South and with the forehand knowledge that Jeb and Harris were their, it was not a very good strategy.
