Will/should President Kerry pardon Bushler, a la Ford -->Nixon?
After Watergate, so many of us wanted the crook behind bars, but Gerry Ford said it was best to put the sad chapter behind us. But all Nixon did was tape some people, order some dirty tricks, and generally be an asshole of a President. Bush is actually a criminal, in so many ways.

Will you settle for a pardon just to get rid of him, or will you DEMAND BUSH PAY FOR HIS CRIMES? Every one of them, from the stolen election to the illegal war? Where to we start, where does it end?

2. NO! NO! NO!
Not just no, but HELL, NO! I was pissed off when Ford pardoned Nixon, but I sort of understood his rationale. But what B*sh and his stooges have done is so much worse. They all need to be prosecuted for war crimes and fraud and treason.

3. Nixon and Ford were also in the same political party.
No chance that Kerry will pardon Bush. Nor should he.

"Offer" a pardon. Make Bush have to accept or reject it. Accepting the pardon would be a humiliating admission.

On edit:
However, I am generally opposed to pre-emptive pardons when there has been no trial or conviction. Justice demands that the truth be exposed.

5. No. IMO, The American People Need To Grow Up & Hear The Truth
unvarnished.

There comes a time when a child realises his parents are not god.

That is a step towards Independance we collectively need to take.

Adolescence is America's stage. Where we learn to take responsibility for our actions.

7. No.
Their crimes are a lot more extensive than Watergate. Their crimes need to be exposed as much as possible, so the crimes are less likely to be committed again in the future.

And * openly talked of wanting to be dictator instead of pResident! Kerry should read Bush's statements about wanting to be dictator at the debate!

10. Hell no!
They should order a full investigation into his entire administration. Starting with intelligence handling before 9/11 up through the entire term. Abu Ghraib, Haliburton everything!

Hmm, perhaps join the world court and let Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and crew be dragged before the world for trial (assuming the lawyers find enough real evidence) and exonerate the rest of in the worlds eyes.

12. No, no, no, no, no... NO. NO? NO!
They need to be made an example of, and America needs to know how close we came to becoming the worlds largest theocracy/dictatorship, assuming we still DO NOT become one and Kerry wins in November.

Kerry has said the choice is clear: "Our new direction, or 4 more years of the same." -- I'd go one further: "Saving the United States, or destroying it." Simple, really, but of course Kerry can't say that right now.

13. Absolutely, positively, without a doubt,
no way on God's green Earth! Never. Not a chance.

Junior bought those crimes. Junior owns them. And the bill's about to come due.

14. Did Cheney Help Get Nixon Pardoned??
When Ford pardoned Dick Nixon in September 1974, Dick Cheney was a key member of Ford's "transition" team. Ford had not yet appointed most of his own staff - they were Nixon holdovers. Cheney then went on to become Ford's Chief of Staff.

Was Cheney behind the pardon of Nixon?

if it would put an end to the extreme partisanship that is drowning this country I would say Do it.

But it won't.

So I say, fuck 'em.
