Does anyone have Cristine Crafts' E-mail address handy? |
|
She was sticking up for that drunk Sacramento police officer who hit and ran on that poor 13 year old child in Sacramento, killing him.
Need to give her a piece of my mind.

6. I dont know. What I do know is that she was making excuses for the |
|
hit and run killing of a 13 year old child by a drunk 29 year old, off-duty Sacramento city police officer, who sped away from the scene at 85 MPH before he stopped, after a witness to the crime gave chase and followed him.
Christine was making statements like "maybe the officer wasn't drinking until after the accident" (he didn't have time) and saying that had he seen sober it would not be so bad, and that it might be the child fault.
I could not believe what I was hearing. If it had been a non-LEO there would be no discussion at all about his guilt in this matter.
Christine really went overboard to make what this peace officer did look less tragic then it really was.

3. I don't know anything about that case you mentioned ... |
|
... but it's good to hear that Christine's still out there. I remember her when she was on TV here in Kansas City (which resulted in her book Too Old, Too Ugly, Not Deferential to Men. I always admired her for taking on the local "news" industry.
What's her talk show like? I'm assuming she's to the left of center, but it's been years since I've heard anything about her.

4. She has her own timeslot on 1240 AM in Sacramento, and also fills in |
|
at KGO 810 in San Francisco, from time to time.
I normally like what she has to say but she really went of the deep end this week with the hit & run killing of a child by a drunk police officer.

I missed that show, but I know Christine tries to answer all emails, so let us know what her response is. I suspect there may be question of framing the debate or accusation rather than actually sticking up for a drunk policeman, but I'm wrong more times then I'm right.

11. I recall that her father was either in the military or the police himself. |
|
Which might have factored into her taking the position of defending this guy. Though it sounds pretty horrible, I think it pays us all to hear all of the facts before condemning someone. Honest mistakes are made, but if the guy was the least bit irresponsible or negligent in that kids death, I say throw the book at him.
People put in positions of responsibility for certain types of law enforcement have traditionally been penalized moreso if they are found guilty of it themselves. I had that drilled into me when I briefly worked as a store detective some 25 years ago. That if I got caught stealing myself, I'd get the book thrown at me a lot moreso than other folks that we'd catch.
That's the way it should be for all of these fascists that are taking over our government these days. They are in positions of power, and abusing it should be penalized that much more than those on the sideline that espouse doing so.
