I was at the protest at KTLA and it was awsome. For such a short notice, a good group showed up with great vibes all around.

I think we should do this once a month and target various stations in Los Angeles. KTLA was good. They had a reporter come out. I think if we target KCBS earlier, we might get coverage from them next time.

Terri just e-mailed me and I agree that the message got out and needs to still get out.

We ALL need to keep this up. Protest the media. Regardless where you are keep getting the word out.

What I hope is that our local media here in LA will start picking this up. KTLA is see all over southern and central California via cable. If the morning shows pick this up and my step mom in Atasadero loves KTLA the word about the memo will get to these people.

The truth MUST come out. If it means standing on street in Los Angeles to get the word to people all over the state it's worth it.

This has got me back to my activist roots. WE are all in this together. If it's just a phone call, a few hours of your time .... DO IT!!

Shit. I had so many people tell me that they heard Randi Rhodes say on the air NATION WIDE that I (which I didn't) organize this protest and people from LA heard that and showed up .... it works!

WE have the power.

Look at what pancake99 got going in Bakersfield. A shit load of people showed up and protested Arnie's sorry ass in one of the most conservative cities in California. The media ATE it up!!!

4. Hello Mr. Ronny!

Yes, I really think it was worthwhile. WHat made it work was everyone was focused on the same message. It was about the DSM and the results of *'s lies. Sometimes, at some protests, there are so many different topics, it's doesn't send a clear message. This was clear- the DSM.

I'm certainly into organizng these events once a month- to begin with. If things really get heated, we can always meed more often.

Ok, DU--- who is with us?!?!?!?!

8. Hey! CBS showed up to interview us right after everyone left!

We were talking about doing another one next Saturday. We'll let you guys know earlier this time, it will either be that weekend or the weekend after to coincide with the release of the Abu Ghraib pictures on the 30th.

I have KTLA recording so I'll check it out now! Look for our interviews on CBS and KCAL too, though I haven't seen it yet and there were only 5 of us left when they filmed us!

20. A bit disappointed.

Well I think it's good that it got on the news, but I must say that I was very disappointed with the turn-out. I know it was short notice, but there was only like 30 people there. We need more people, and not so it's mostly hippie-types. Nothing against hippies, but if they are >50% of the people there, I don't think people take it as seriously. Certainly many other social factions are upset about DSM, where the hell were they? And if we get more people we won't have to rely on handing out signs to bums to help us out. And yeah, how come everybody took off so early??

Sorry, I fully support these rallies, which is why I was there, just adding some realism of the situation since all comments here have been nothing except how great it was.

and the numbers of folks honking their car horns was so amazing... the very voice of the people in LA is in their car horns, eh?
