San Diego Dems pass Impeachment Resolution
The San Diego Democratic Central Committee last night approved a resolution calling for the impeachment of Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld, and further calls upon the State Party to take similar action.

I'm proud to say that the impeachment resolution was my suggestion. Derek Cassidy of La Jolla introduced it on my behalf and argued pasisonately for Democrats to stand up for what's right and true, in the face of a spirited debate.

I am meeting with the Pres. of my local Dem. club tomorrow. I'll bring it up and see if we can put it on our agenda for the next meeting in solidarity with the Central Committee.

Congratulations ! :toast:

4. Thanks! The AD 77 Committee passed a similar resolution,
although that one only called for impeachment of Bush.

We're making progress!

5. Hardly empty, and standing up for what's right should be
more important than doing what's safe or popular anyhow.

The next step should be to get constituents calling their legislators, Republicans and Democrats, to voice support for impeachment. The only way Republicans would vote to impeach is if they fear political fallout from constituents more than crossing party leaders.
