Governor Refuses to Cancel Nov. 8 Special Election

As lawyers scrambled to resurrect one of his most important voter initiatives, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Monday that he would not cancel the Nov. 8 special election.

"I will continue moving forward exactly as I have been," Schwarzenegger said at an event in the Capitol that encouraged children to eat healthy foods. "We need reform."

1. He is not going to cancel, Dem leadership in the Assembly has him...
...over a barrel because he has to ask them to cancel it and they want concessions(ie: stay away from messing with public employee unions).

He's too stubborn.

3. It all depends on what the courts decide about Prop 77...
...it could still need up on the ballot.

But if prop 77 doesn't make it, I just don't see the sense in holding a special election for parental notification and union busting. Those aren;t exactly winning issues in CA.

He can't back down. If you've ever read 1984, you know that the party is infallible...

Why on earth doesn't someone like Soros put some money down and recall this "bloede Arschloch"??? It would be soooo easy to get the signatures at this point and boom, he's gone!
