Called Congresswoman Jane Harmon-(d) in DC and L.A.-nothing but voicemail
I also have not found one story about her doing *ANYTHING* to assist with the relief in New Orleans.

All she (or her staff) seemed to have done was put a link to the Red Cross on her website.

Once again Rep. Harmon is missing in action.

If y'all know something different, please feel free to correct me.

This lady is supposed to represent me to the Federal Govt. I sure don't feel represented right now.

1. she is horrible,
especially how she is republican apologizer on defense and security issues. She needs to quit being a lackey for the bush administration.

2. I agree and hear you
let us see what happens when they get back from break

If they don't stand up now, and call this administration to task on the mess they have made of everything, it is time to vote new blood in, or find a new party

6. Plans were made to be changed. 535 members of Congress should get with it.
I hope she's well rested after her vacation, cause I'm gonna hound her on this until she does *something*.

3. You'd Rather be Represented by Dan or Susan?
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 10:53 AM by rwenos
Dan (richguy) who's Mayor of Torrance, or Susan (whatzername) who's run against Jane a couple of times, from the Rancho Palos Verdes city council? (California 36th CD is about 40/40 Dem/Pub registration, yer bound to have a centrist from a district like this.)

Lots of ugly Pubs in this CD. Jane's for sure the best we can do, and she knows a lot of Pentagon people (good for the South Bay aerospace industry.)

Just pointing out a few salient points.

4. Thank you for the info. She seems like a groundhog to me.
I never see her or hear from her. I guess that makes her a centrist, all right. Don't step on anyones toes.

8. And Keep those Contracts Comin' In
36th CD main employers:

LAX
Los Angeles Air Force Base (think satellites)
TRW
Boeing
Hughes Electronics
Northrop/Grumman

Jane, who was on Pentagon legal staff before running for Congress, knows the Boys in The Building. That's why she keeps getting re-elected.

9. With Bush & Co running things do you think these corporations need her?
I'll give her credit for being an insider, but she can lobby for corporations *and* push things that help regular folks, too.

Yes to Ted Lieu. The only way I can funnel my frustration is to work on his campaign. Not phonebanking, but doing mailings. Wanna help?
