Natural gas bills expected to rise 71%, PG&E says |
Northern California home heating bills would leap 70.8 percent in October as hurricanes Katrina and Rita drive up natural gas prices nationwide. The storms smashed through a thicket of offshore rigs that supply roughly one-fifth of the nation's natural gas. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/10/01/MNGG9F16KE1.DTL&hw=PG&sn=001&sc=1000

1. Same here in MN. We are supplied by Canada yet ours are going up |
too. In addition they have already purchased enough to supply for the winter. I hope they are checking for price gouging with natural gas also.

2. This really PISSES me off |
We have so much natural gas in the world that the supply will NEVER run out. What is the real reason for this massive increase? I have heard reports that there is FIVE natural gas pipelines feeding this country. At present there is only TWO up and running. This just leaves way too many questions to be answered. :banghead:
