Million Solar Roofs Initiative

Earlier today, I sent an e-mail to California PUC president, Michael Peevey, through one of the many advocacy groups I subscribe to. I honestly don't remember whether it was the Union of Concerned Scientists or Environment California or just who it was.

Anyway, I altered and personalized the astroturf e-mail somewhat, as I always do, then sent it off. Basically, it thanked Mr. Peevey for his leadership in advocating solar energy in California and urged him to push for the maximum possible funding for this project.

Imagine my surprise this afternoon, when I received an e-mail back from him saying, "Thanks. Will do."

I know Peevey has been considered a little too corporate friendly by some in the past, but he's definitely on the right side when it comes to pushing alternative energy in California. For anyone else who wants to send him an encouraging e-mail, he can be reached here: [e-mail].
