I don't know if anyone saw this post by Chris Cillizza, a Washington Post blogger. He discusses Busby's candidacy. He compares the race to Hackett-Schmidt in OH , but the take-home message is that she'll have a tough time winning. Being a special election, though, low voter turnout will likely help Dems, especially if the GOP has a tough and ugly primary race. There is some good (and, naturally, some bad) analysis in the comments that follow the post.

I live in L.A. I'd like to volunteer to help Busby's campaign - but it's a lot of time to invest (and a lot of driving) for an election that might not be close....

1. She's having a "Wreck the Nation" fundraiser on the 14th...

"Wreck the Nation" is a cool political monopoly like game that was developed by a local here in San Diego, and measures how quickly you (the one running the government) can get broke faster than anyone else, as opposed to getting richer in the private sector. I'll post the location later if anyone's interested here.

Haven't seen anything on Duncan Hunter since the Raw Story article a few weeks ago, but perhaps if we can get him implicated and to resign before the end of this month, maybe we can get an even bigger voter turnout in the same special election looking to replace these thugs with someone progressive.
