with citizens across the U.S. meeting with their Congress Members


When: January 7, 2006, from Noon to 2pm (Bag Lunches will be available)

Where: Church of the Brethren (3850 Westgate Place San Diego 92105-5113)

Who Should Attend: Concerned and “questioning” citizens who wish to better understand what’s happening about the Iraq War.



PROGRAM

1) Address by Congressman Bob Filner on an Out of Iraq strategy and what we, as concerned citizens, can do about it. Bring your questions for Mr. Filner.

2) Kickoff of the Out of Iraq Local Sentiment Sheets Campaign in which concerned citizens provide their handwritten comments about Iraq.

3) Legislative Primer and Peace Score Card covering recent legislation on Iraq and how Congress Members have voted. Shouldn’t You Know About This?

4) Workshop and vote on the Key Components of an Out of Iraq strategy. Participants will discuss the key elements of an Out of Iraq strategy and how these can be used effectively in the 2006 Congressional elections.
