CA College Democrats vs. CA College Republican sites see a difference?

I'm not trying to criticize any of members of college democrats, but your stormtrooper counter parts at the GOP look more energized and motivated just based on comparing both your websites. They're also more likely to be more crude and vulgar, but thats not the point, Democrats have failed to inspire their young.

Maybe the cult of personality makes it easier for Republicans to literally worship figures like Reagan or Bush, but if CA College Dems are ever going to compete, they're going to have to invest far more energy and passion.

1. They're "energized" because they're an out-of-touch minority
that can't find dates on a Saturday night.

I think, if you're worried about the future of the Democratic Party, there are probably other places than California that you should be looking.

2. You know Karl Rove's machine paid for that GOP site?
Interesting, the calendar of events hasn't been undated since July 2005, and the blog/news tapered of in September 2005. Chirp, Chirp, Chirp

As they say in Texas "All Hat No Cattle"

4. their ranks are probably thinning out--but are Dems taking advantage
of this?

Their cautious "rope a dope" strategy will at best be successful for an election cycle or two, but being militant about a handful of core ideas would appeal to kids and build a base for the future.

3. Democrat triangulation with business and equivocation are hardly going
to attract idealistic kids.

The Democrats have to have a core of ideas they announce at every opportunity and defend unapologetically before kids will think it's worth their time to associate with them.

Right now, it's about as exciting as joining the Kiwanis or Rotary.
