Great-grandmother likely to face murder charge
http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/01/29/grandma.shoots.ap/index.html

LAKE FOREST, California (AP) -- Police say a man picking up his son for a supervised court visit was shot twice at point-blank range by the boy's 81-year-old great-grandmother.

...the man appeared to be having a casual conversation yesterday with his ex-wife and her grandmother, when witnesses say the grandmother allegedly pulled out a gun and began firing.

Yes, he's dead.

Well, I guess if everyone had a gun all the time, as many here advocate, he'd have been able to peg Great Granny before she got him, right?

That's what we need...more guns in this country.

5. The article doesn't say why she shot him.

The father was picking him up for a visit. Was there child abuse in the past?
