California Commercial Drivers License
I work for a City in California where a CDL is a job requirement, except for medical condition.
I do not need it to perform my job and want to get out from under having it.
My hearing is pretty bad. Can I be disqualified from renewing my Commercial Drivers License (Class A) by failing a hearing test?
How would this effect me getting a regular Class C, or would it?

Thanks

1. Dishonest at best
Not a very loyal employee. Why don't you just sit down with your Boss and tell him/her what your beef is?

2. They only have some of us get CDL's...
...so that they can random piss test us.
That is where the "dishonesty" truly lies.

I have used that license very few times in 12 years.
Laws have been tightened. I can't go to traffic school, to erase a ticket, even a violation in my own vehicle.

Don't lecture me please. You don't know the full story.

4. Dude, here's a real suggestion:
Go to the web site for the national motorist association, www.motorists.org. You can find links there for all kinds of driving-related issues. If you can't find the answer straight out, you can probably find an attorney who can get the answer for you. Even if you have to spend some cash for their time, this sounds like an issue that would be worth the money.
