and they're playing Diana Ross' I'm Coming Out!

too much fun and they're making a point of being independent and they're slamming on corporate radio

1. That would be Energy

I was following it on some radio boards, where it is being chatted up and analyzed like crazy.

There was another Energy 92.7 in the Chicago suburbs a few years ago, and it was pretty good. The music got a bit tiring after awhile (a bit repetitive and obscure) but I loved the overall sound, imaging and jocks (I'm an old radio guy, and I often listen to the stuff outside the music). If this new station is any bit as good as the station in Chicago, it'll be pretty fun.

It seems like a good station for the market. I'll bet this thing will be blasting like crazy in SF.

So, between Energy and liberal talk on both 960 AND the reliable KGO, you're set.

2. I've been listening for the past five days

ever since I found it

I just hope it does well

the last time I listed to 92.7-they were The Wave and they changed formats on me

For a few months 92.7 was actually a hip-hop/R&B station from Oakland (Power 92) but I guess they changed..

Another good, independent station is KFOG - alternative music, not the same kind of music as 92.7
