Help Kerry in swing states from your computer.
Call swing state Kerry supporters from your Blue State and ask them to join in their local canvass effort - from the comfort of your own home or office computer.

Call one or call hundreds, it's up to you.

I've been logging on to the call site for the last 10 days and it's lots of fun talking to Kerry supporters in the battleground states. I live in a red state and it puts me telephonic ally into the middle of the political action.

I've have personally enlisted a lot of canvassers in the swing states to attend a local canvass day so I feel like I'm having a personal impact on the outcome of the election. A canvass volunteer can usually contact 10 undecided or infrequent democratic voters and through face to face interaction bring those votes to Kerry.

If just one of the swing states is razor close in the election, my efforts might be just what made the difference as to who wins in November. (JQC)

From the Kerry Phone Corp:

Keep us on track to knock on ONE MILLION doors this Saturday!

Whether you have 10 minutes or several hours to spend today --

PLEASE KEEP CALLING!

Yesterday you broke a Phone Corps record, making 12,000 calls in one night. We're on track to recruit enough volunteers to meet the nationwide goal of knocking on one million doors this Saturday.

Please keep calling today:

Some people have asked why these door-to-door visits are important. The answer is fairly straightforward. These visits are important because they are the most effective form of voter contact. Canvass volunteers are visiting two kinds of voters: infrequent Democratic voters and undecided voters. Many studies have shown that face-to-face contact with a supporter makes it far more likely that an infrequent voter will make it to the polls. And it is by far the best way to get information to undecided voters that can tip the balance.

How do the state coordinated campaigns know who is undecided and who is an infrequent Democratic voter? The Democratic Party is doing very good targeting based on demographics and voter history from state voter files. Canvassers on the ground in swing states are visiting carefully selected lists of voters in order to make their work as productive and effective as possible.

Today and tonight we're calling OH, PA, WV, and NV. These are all states that have great canvass operations and are absolutely critical to winning this election.

Please keep making your Phone Corps calls tonight:
