Join the Health Care for All-California / OneCareNow Campaign Tribute Dinner for State Senator Sheila Kuehl

Health Care for All (HCA) and the OneCareNow Campaign invite you to join with us to honor our friend, the Honorable Senator Sheila James Kuehl, on Sunday, August 3, 2008. The tribute dinner begins at 5:30 PM at the Radisson Hotel, 500 Leisure Lane, in Sacramento, CA. and will help raise funds for our grassroots efforts to pass state Senate Bill 840, Senator Kuehl's vision for single-payer universal health care legislation.

Californians from every walk of life continue to suffer the burden of a broken health care system, from untimely death and disabling disease, to family and business bankruptcies. Senator Kuehl has shown, with SB 840, we can have a healthcare system that provides comprehensive care, controls costs, and lets everyone choose their doctors. HCA and our many allies in the OneCareNow Campaign are working to build a California movement to pass and implement SB 840.

Throughout several sessions in the California legislature, Senator Kuehl has developed and promoted the universal single-payer proposal. Built on principles of quality, cost control, continuous access, and accountability, it provides a healthcare system that empowers the promise and values of a democratic society.

Senator Kuehl has inspired this movement with her passion, vision, and commitment. We ask you to stand up with her and together we can take this movement of health justice forward. Our tribute dinner honors and thanks our very remarkable leader and friend, Senator Kuehl.
