Rove in Sacramento on Friday, 9/19?

I have a note in my calendar that Rove is supposed to speak in Sacramento on Friday. I'm pretty sure that I found out about this on DU, but my searches didn't show anything.

Anyone know if this is still happening? My note only said "Rove is suppose to speak in Sacramento on Sept 19 on 14th and J Street". :shrug:

I was hoping that I'd be able to get down there and protest Turd Blossom, but my work schedule isn't looking promising. :(

6. We were only there until just before lunchtime- we all had afternoon plans.

In the morning there were 20ish people split between the two sets of doors. Somebody from Vets for Peace, some Sac for Democracy people, our student group and I don't know who else was represented. I was told that a bunch of students from the bay area were expected to arrive in the afternoon, along with more locals, so we didn't feel too bad about having to split- we did leave our signs for anybody who didn't have one.

I also found out that quite a few folks on our side had managed to get comped tickets, and that booing, back turning, etc was planned for during the speech itself. Rove got 40K from the Sac Metro CofC, PG&E and the Sac Bee to come stink up our fair city. x(

3. We got great press coverage in Norfolk, VA, when Rove

spoke at a fund raiser for our Bushbot Congresswoman, Thelma Drake, with a mock trial of Karl Rove. We have the script if anyone wants it.
