Dangerous proposition will result in DNA discrimination for ins & jobs
Don't have the right DNA? Forget about getting a job above minimum wage or getting insurance for your families. This is the end result of Prop 69. It's a Proposition we must fight.

1. What's Prop 69 say that would result in such ugly discrimination?
I'm not in CA, but north of you and sometimes those CA props find their way up here, so want to be prepared.

Sounds pretty ugly. Keep up the fight!

DEFEAT BUSH!!

2. Prop 69 is just the start towards this

It will allow Ashcroft to start his DNA database. The trouble is most of the people in it, to start off, will probably be strikers and protestors. It provides for the taking of DNA samples from arrestees (NOT convicted criminals)for a database. 2000 protestors were arrested in New York. Strikers were arrested for ADW for standing still with picket signs after scabs walked into the signs.

This information is expected to be leaked to insurance companies, who are likely to discriminate against people with DNA that indicates they could come down with certain conditions. When the employer asks why the person is uninsurable, they'll find out about the DNA if the government doesn't tell them first.

4. Good grief! Thanks for the info
This is definitely one we don't want to risk finding its way past our border w/CA. Geez! Hope it goes down in flames. I'll watch the vote with interest. Hang in there!

6. I voted No
What solidified my decision was seeing that groups like the ACLU and Drug Policy Alliance were so passionately opposed to this measure.
