Lately it seems like a family reunion as Dean supporters from every part of California come together to work with SEIU, AFSCME, ACT, 21st Century Dems, Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood and others to take the country back by winning Nevada on November 2nd.

All these groups are heading for Nevada to spend four days helping our neighbors get out the vote for Kerry/Edwards and for Democrats down the ballot as a part of the America Votes Election Day drive. DFA is solidly behind the project, so we have another chance to show Governor Dean and all of America that Californians are still the best to get the job done when it counts the most!

Individuals, couples, groups of friends, young or old - any number can sign on and make a difference. California for Democracy and Democracy For Nevada have teamed up to call up the nation's best volunteers to walk precincts, make phone calls and make the difference!

Great training is being provided for free so that everyone will be ready to go to work as soon as they arrive in Nevada. If you can get a group of 30-40 people together, you can have experienced trainers come to your area anywhere in California! Any level of experience, from first timers to lifers can learn something new to put to use in this urgent cause.

The goal is to have 1000 Californians in Nevada by October 30. We can meet that goal, and exceed it without shortchanging any of the other great projects in the works. Tell your friends; tell your neighbors; tell strangers with Dean bumper stickers on their cars; tell everyone that victory is within our reach, we just have to make the last push to grab it!

A fleet of vans (anyone want to drive? You can, just volunteer!) will be leaving from locations all over California to take us to Reno and Las Vegas, or you can drive or fly... just get there! You can book yourself into a hotel or stay with local supporters - you choose. Everything you need to do your job will be provided (including food).

Ask anyone who was on a Southwest Victory Express trip or any of the trips since - it's one of the best, most memorable experiences you can have AND you're doing something important: helping send Bush back to Crawford to cut brush full time! And we are finishing this campaign with all the people who supported Gov Dean throughout his campaign - it is a great feeling.

All of our efforts this past year have set records in registering new voters in Nevada, and now it is time to make sure they all get to the polls. So much is riding on this election... it's up to us to make sure that the Kerry/Edwards victory CAN'T be questioned or circumvented by Bush's friends on the Supreme Court. Not again!
