to have breakfast with Dennis Kucinich in San Francisco. Should be interesting. Here's this guy running on a straight "new deal" platform, absolutely opposed to the Iraq war, a Vegan no less, and he keeps getting reelected. I wonder what the secret is. He'd never have made president, and he did campaign and support Kerry, but he seems to represent a particular portion of the Democratic party that has some validity. ( A Nader supporter told me he sold his people out, but it didn't seem like that)

About a year and a half ago I was burnt out & cynical. I had all but given up on this country & politics. Then I had a chance to hear Dennis speak. He blew me away. He painted a picture of this country that I wanted to help make real. He honestly believes we can do better, be better & create a world of peace, justice & compassion for all peoples. He is too good for this country to accept at this time, but I for one don't ever want to give up on his & my dream.

very sincere...didn't get it when i tried to explain that she was supporting bush...that it was better to work within the dem party the way Kucinich does. Then she said something about his supporters not being allowed to bring their signs into the DNC. I didn't understand what she was saying...but she was sincere. Anyway, this is the first time I've ever seen him in person. Hope I get to talk to him...made reservation too late to sit at his table. Somehow he seems like a Californian.

those reports were false. kucinich supporters were allowed to bring their signs into the convention, as well as the peace scarves. and besides, it wouldn't have been kucinich's fault if people weren't allowed to bring their signs in. she sounds delusional.
