my application for the apartment that I wanted was approved and I'm going to look at it Sunday
if it's not a total rat trap, I'm signing a lease to move to the island!

This place just feels like the right place for me... Or should I say the LEFT place for me...
It's a little tough being a very left wing Gay Canadian moving to the US... Especially after the recent election....
But next year I'll have dual citizenship and will get to FULLY participate in the Democratic process here... and work hard to help the Democrats to take back the country.

My husband has relatives down here, and he got a green card, so we moved down a few years ago... We both decided that we didn't want to look back in 50 years and regret that we didn't take the chance to live in the U.S.
Took me a LONG time to finally get my green card, and I'll have citizenship finally next year...
We moved to SF, but when we were house shopping couldn't afford to live in the city... Which worked out great.. Cuz Alameda is a great place to live... (and we managed to buy before the prices went insane....)
