Who would be a better governor: Ben Aflick or George Clooney?
Image-wise, these two would be our best shots and they won a poll in another forum. Aflick is a liberal Democrat. He donated to Dennis but backed Kerry in the G.E. Clooney comes across as a Democrat but I don't know where he stands on the issues. Does anyone know who he backed in the primaries?

1. I disagree
The Hollywood scene is a liability for the Democrats. It contributes to the sense that the Dem's are cultural elitists. You don't see Bush campaigning with Ken Lay, Bill Gates, and the rest of his big corporate donors. The Hollywood crowd is a strong financial base of the Democratic party, but the pols need to quit being seen in public with them.
Of the two, I prefer Affleck, or Baldwin. I've never seen George Clooney discuss politics.

12. I think I meant, we need to throw out Arnold in 06 or the Amendment
will go through and Rupert Murdock (the real beneficiary of the Amendment) will wind up President. We've got to stop Arnold now. Next time, I better look back for typos within the time period.

4. What about Alec Baldwin?
He's Dem all the way.

"To me, the Republican Party is the real great tragedy of the last 25 years because there are lot of good and decent people and a lot of good political points come from the Republican Party in the post-war period, but it has been hijacked by these fundamentalist wackos," Baldwin said.

"There are a lot of decent Republicans out there who feel they have to profess this loyalty to these people," Baldwin added after the applause faded.

Baldwin also took aim at the Bush administration's policies, telling CNSNews.com before the panel discussion began that the administration is "really only good at two things, which is manipulating corporate profits and waging war, and they basically botched both of those things."

10. We should probably stay away from the activists but pick a liberal
We need to focus on image and give the opposition little to work with. Though Aflick backed Dennis and Kerry, he hasn't done a lot that is controversial. I think Clooney might be a slightly better candidate but I would like to have a hint where Clooney stands on the issues.

16. Tim Robbins!!!!

I saw a segment about Tim Robbins on CSPAN and he was just so smart and a real Democrat.

As I recall, he graduated from UCLA.

I saw his play, "Embedded" and he truly understands the neocons. The play was masterful.

Love Susan too. They make a beautiful couple.
I have heard him talk about their children and I loved what he was saying.

As far as I know, he is well liked in Hollywood and beyond.

17. Here is more about Tim Robbins!!

I looked all over the site and didn't see any thing to equal Arnold groping television reporters and others.

Doesn't appear to use steroids.

He is excellent as a public speaker,is passionate about politics!

Tim for Governor!

20. We've got to beat Arnold in 06 or it will be too late to stop him.
We need to use strategy to stop these guys. Our party so so confident that Arnold would lose the recall, it didn't fight. We should have run Aflick then.
