Any Sacramento Area DUers??
Please post here or PM me if you are in the Sacto area. Thanks.

Making connections with like-minded folks locally is always a good thing. :)

3. Cool!
Sounds good. Lemme know when you get here. The College Democrats are a cool bunch. Haven't done much with them this year though. They had a debate with the College Repubs but I didn't make it out there, had lab at the time. Damn schoolwork.

14. Sunday Dec 12th rally ln 51 state capitals
I urge all of you Sacramento folks will rally Sunday, the day before the electoral college electors for California vote in our state's capitol. Protest the stolen election--and let the electors know the true facts about electoral fraud! For details, go to www.51statecapitolsmarch.com (or it might be www.51statecapitalsrally.com)

16. Wow... look at all you Sacramento folks! Cool!
I thought I'd come back and this thread would be buried somewhere, but there it was right at the top. :D

There's a thread started over in Activism & Events about the rally here in Sacramento on Sunday. That thread is here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=106x13782

A bunch of folks from out of town were discussing where to meet and how to get there, so I just posted there with some suggestions. Please come on over there and join in!

There's also a discussion going on in the message boards at the "51 Capitols" website here: http://www.51capitalmarch.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl They are trying to get things organized over there, and have various bits of info posted there.

I'm excited... sure hope we get a good turn out! I heard Christine Craft talking about this rally on 1240, so hopefully, word is getting around.

17. Voting reform activist in Sacto area

Open Voting Consortium in Sacto area

Did you know that a group of scientists and engineers are working on a voting system utilizing free software and inexpensive commodity components?

Here's an article that came out on APR 1 -- the date of our first demo:
http://www.dalelane.co.uk/cache/ovc_news4.htm

And a subsequent followup:
http://www.kentucky.com/mld/mercurynews/news/opinion/83...

Our latest press release... we plan to ban paperless voting and require open source software:
