300 people at San Diego rally to protest stolen elections
More than 300 protesters joined the 5,547 Vote March in San Diego today (Sunday, January 2nd). The crowd signed a petition urging that all votes for Donna Frye be counted in the mayoral race.
This petition will be delivered Monday to the San Diego City Council, which is being asked to use its power to declare Frye the rightful winner. If 5,547 disputed write-in ballots for Frye are counted (ballots with her name written in, but bubbles not filled in), Frye would win by more than 3,000 votes.

In addition, protestors signed a petition urging Senator Barbara Boxer to contest the presidential election in the Senate on January 6th. Speakers from a variety of progressive organizations addressed the crowd on the growing national problem of voter disenfrancisement and voter fraud.

The creative folks behind this rally organized bubble-blowing by protesters. Signs urged officials to "Count Votes, Not Bubbles" and while the crowd chanted "Count Every Vote." Some protesters banged pots and pans; one even carried a big bass drum, drawing lots of attention.

Reporters and photographers from nearly every major media outlet locally turned out for the event. Each received a press packet with links to detailed information on election issues.

VOTERR (Voters for Open and Truthful Election Results and Reform (VOTERR) deserves a big round of applause for organizing the rally, which was attended by representatives of the Green Party, Peace and Freedom Party, Democratic groups, and many other progressive organizations.

2. We wore orange and black--like the Ukranians.
It was great. We had veterans, kids, old folks--the whole gamut. Even a homeless woman joined our protest. Afterwards we stopped to buy snacks at a store downtown. The clerk voiced support for our cause--and we signed her up for our mailing list of future rallies!

to a woman who asked WTF over? She was impressed since I made a point of saying this is not a party thing, but a civil rights issue... she got it... she will check the website

Oh and right now gray scaling some photos... they need to be gray scaled so they will print right for the DFA meeting

4. Good for you! We're raising awareness with these rallies,
