San Francisco DUers...Opinion on this area (see link) of SF Please.

I found a one bedroom apt in a nice old Edwardian building on Woodward St. for $1350 (4 rooms total). Inner Mission/Duboce Triangle area. I used to live in North Beach 10 years ago and am thinking of moving back to SF. I'm not familiar with this area.

Opinons on this area...?....this price...?

1. Not the same 'ambiance' as North Beach...

It's a matter of personal preference, masmdu. My impression is that it's not 'residential' enough for me. It's a bit of a business corridor south of Market St. near the freeway and to top it off - there's currently construction being done (yep, you guessed it) on the freeway. Honestly, it's a bit 'iffy' for me.

What are your 'must have' items for an apartment/living space? I might be able to tell you more based on that...

2. too much for that area

rents are dropping in the city.
you can get a nice 1 BR in other more residential areas for less.

how are you doing your search? craig's list? metrorent? renttech?
