1. My San Diego sister called to say
That 4 counties have, in effect, outlawed Diebold specifically, and are looking into the possibility of fraud charges.

:toast:

LOVE THIS QUOTE: "They broke the law. Their conduct was absolutely reprehensible. Their conduct should never be tolerated from anyone doing business again with the state of California," Shelley said.

I'm in Riverside County where we've been voting on Sequoia machines. I was so psyched when I read the news this morning! I've been calling, writing and generally yelling about this issue since the Wally O'Dell story broke last fall. Even got in an e-mail argument with Mischelle Townsend our registrar of voters who was totally against a paper trail! I'm having a hard time fighting the urge to send her some "nah nah nah nah nah" raspberries. :headbang:
Thank You!! Thank You!! everyone who worked for this!!

why is she so adamantly against paper trails and accountability and voter rights? i admit i haven't really read up much on her, i just see her name pop up whenever bbv is discussed.

12. So now she's trying to sue the state
over the paper trails!
That B___H!!
Her hatred of the paper trail idea leads me to believe that she doesn't WANT the votes to be re-countable! (Is that a word?)
