Come to St. Pete for Peace press conference tomorrow, 7/24!

Hi all! If you are able, please come to Baywalk tomorrow at 6PM to take a stand for our freedom of speech. As posted earlier, St. Pete City Council is considering a measure which would shut down our weekly peace vigils at Baywalk in downtown St. Petersburg. Please show your support by coming to our press conference and stay for the weekly vigil if you can. We need numbers! If you need further info, directions to Baywalk or are a member of an organization who would like to endorse our continued peaceful presence at Baywalk, please PM me. I can provide copies of the proposed ordinance and other info.
You do not need to be a St. Pete resident either to show your support for this action or to be an endorser. If they are successful with this ordinance in our city, yours could be next. Please help if you can!

The press conference will be inside Baywalk - we will be marching there from Straub Park (2nd Ave & Bayshore Drv NE)and be there by 6. We will be coming down 2nd Ave - your best bet is just to meet us in front of the complex at 6. The conference is actually at 6:30 followed by the vigil at 7. I'll PM you with my cell phone number and you can call if you are coming. Would love to meet a fellow DUer! If you are up for a little First Amendment sign-making some of us will be meeting at the park at 5.
