the legend of Chicago is suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's. read eric zorn`s piece today on the keyes meltdown and the wally phillips article. i will always remember listening to the wacky stuff wally did on the radio...

I grew up in a house where my mom always had him on in the morning, as well as his successor, the late Bob Collins. I miss that sort of middle of the road fun (without harm or childish pranks) that was AM radio back in the day, especially WGN.
Oh, and for a chance at the bonus prize, do you know the name in the black box that could win you all the goodies they ever gave away?

I often listened to Wally Phillips when I was a teenager in Naperville during the 1960's.
My mother once won some money from him when she and my younger brother were able to answer a puzzle question he was posing.
Sorry to hear about his suffering.
