Is there any place to donate gift cards? |
I received a gift card from my sister for Walmart, but I have no desire to set foot in a Walmart, ever. I was wondering if there was any place that I can donate the gift card to some sort of charity, or if there is some place that accepts gift cards. I'm in the Chicago suburbs.

1. There may be an AIDS Hospice or group home that would need it |
They were asking for gift cards here in Dallas because a lot of the people who live there can't afford to just go buy something they want. Just a suggestion. :-)

3. You could go to Wal-Mart and see if you can buy "Hunger" cards |
I doubt Wal-Mart has these, but I'm sure you have seen those $1, $3, and $5 cards you can 'purchase' at the counter. The money go towards feeding the hungry. Wal-Mart may have something like that going on. Otherwise see if Goodwill can use it. If anything else, they can buy something at Wal-Mart and give it away or sell it at a reduced price.
