Local Cacus Info
This is a copy/paste of an announcement I got from Gayle reminding everybody of the upcomming democratic cacuses in DuPage County.

I would assume other counties in IL are having thiers around this time becuase we all have the same filing deadlines.

NOTICE OF TOWNSHIP CAUCUSES

TUESDAY, JANUARY 11TH

This is a reminder that your respective Townships will be holding their Caucuses for the purpose of slating candidates for the
April 5th Township Elections.

Your attendance at your Township caucus is requested. For further information regarding your Township's Caucus location please visit the Dems County website.

If you are interested in being slated as a CANDIDATE for your township please contact your Township Chair. Although we have candidates running in each of the Townships there are still open slots and to show our growing strength as Democrats in DuPage County we are looking to fill ALL or as many as possible.

POSITIONS TO BE SLATED

Township Supervisor (1)

Township Trustee (4)

Highway Supervisor (1)

Township Clerk (1)

Township Assessor (1)

All of these positions are PAID positions and include FULL benefits and retirement pay.

Many of you may not even be aware about Township elections or Township Government but in the next few months we will be doing a concerted effort to inform our voters about this very issue. This is a very low key, low budget election process. If you've been considering running for an office but don't feel you have the experience, this IS the election to do to get your feet wet.

If you have any questions regarding any of this information go to the County website and get the contact info for your respective Township and contact your Township chair.

Mark your calendar and attend your Township Caucus.

Thank you,
Gayl Ferraro, Chair

1. Linky here!
(at least for Naperville) The Calendar in the lower right hand corner shows some of the township Caucus dates. :)

2. Thanks Bob!
This is great information. All DUers should jump on this. Let's get a statewide slate of DU candidates.
