Pure vanity post: I beat the Illinois Forum on reaching 3,000 posts

With this post I will be at 3,007 posts while the Illinois Forum will have 2,999 posts. The next person to reply to an Illinois Forum post will get that lucky 3,000th post. We have a lot of activity here this past week. Hopefully we can keep this up and make the grassroots Democratic organization in Illinois stronger. A selfish pat on the back for myself for 3,000 posts, but much more importantly, a pat on the back of the all the regulars here who have helped us get so close to 3,000 posts as a Forum.

I hope some of the other state forums (fora) start to pick up steam too. I dislike moribundity. (moribundsomeness?). We need to start kicking ideas around for 2006 and beyond.

I checked out your profile and it said you are from Iowa. I'm glad I'm not the only one that wants to get the state forums more active. That said, perhaps there should be somewhat of a competition between the forums? See who can get the most posts? That might lead to frivolous posts, but those shouldn't really count. Only quality posts.... how could we get this done?
