What does everyone think of the Tribune's new advertising campaign?
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 06:36 PM by Tweed
You know the TV ads they have now with the silhouette characters experiencing all the different sections of the Tribune... they have the little beat music playing in the background... I think it's catchy and a nice commercial to watch. It won't cause me to resubscribe, but at least I don't mind watching it.

1. I think they're guilty of false advertising
Those characters look like they are normal and well adjusted. There can't be more than 10% of them that aren't sick and twisted sub human beings.

I'm sick and twisted, but a liberal. And, i'm not subhuman. Well, maybe a little.

4. The trib deserves utmost contempt
for their endorsement of W.
They called me for a sub. and I told them I would never
buy another Tribune

7. An Interesting Factoid About That
The ENTIRE editorial board, except for Lipinski and Dold disagreed. Dold explained on Chicago Tonight that they decided on Li'l Georgie anyway, because the Tribune ALWAYS endorses the Republican. So, the entire educated staff, save two, wanted to endorse Kerry, we absolutely know the things Li'l Georgie has screwed up, and they went with him anyway, 'cuz they always do.

Bruce Dold is as dumb as dirt.

5. I find it kinda smarmy myself...
...a little cutesy. But I guess pretty inoffensive.

Still isn't going to get me to subscribe again.
